Irql not less or equal ram7/26/2023 Also, make sure that your RAM is ECC if it's supposed to be, or not ECC if its not supposed to be (same w/ bufferred). I would say put your NIC in the 2nd slot and your sound in the 3rd (best config i found for IRQ separation). This can especially be a problem with network and sound cards. These often cause IRQ problems (usually share the channel). Though you can still use the RAID channels to free up your IDE, just don't set it to stripe.Going with the PCI comments, don't put anything in the PCI slot nearest the AGP. If you are and it's 0 (striping, 'increased performance') don't. Are you using the RAID on the board? If you are, and it's 1, ok, that's fine. they mess up all the time (don't want to fry your chip)). Also, you may want to update the BIOS on the a7v333, the early versions aren't so hot (though DO NOT USE the EZ flash or the windows flash utility. This allowed me to format and get everything going properly. To achieve a stable system w/ my CPU, i turned down the latency on the RAM and disabled the L2 cache on the CPU. It's not a problem in most sticks, but if its in a stick, it may not go away permanently (sometimes it may work, sometimes it may not). Some RAM, apparently Samsung is particularly bad about this, has a tendency to misreport itself. I had this same issue, w/ the ASUS A7v3xp. Sometimes before I can even get that far. Here are my system specs:AMD 2000+ OEMAsus A7V333 moboHercules GameTheaterXPPNY GeForce4 ti4200512k pc2700 MICRON DDR RAM Realtek8139 NICI have attempted to remove all devices aside from my vid card which I need, due to the fact that I have no other, and no on-board is present.Still get these errors.I'd like to ask for some advice, and at the same time was wondering if the CPU is the likely cause.I would gladly replace it with my old one, but I have given it away.I still have a warranty on my CPU and plan to have it replaced with a retail did do a searched for IRQL not equal or less, and the same in quotes, and just IRQL.I recieved results mostly from the 'soapbox' and 'battleground' areas of these wonderful forums.Unfortunately most were about political issues, which have little to nothing to do with my problem. Thanks for any help. Same error occurs, just as often.I turned off ACPI and P&P and manually configured IRQ's.same error despite the fact that there was very little sharing, and the ones that were shared did not appear to me to be an issue.I am now attempting (as per the advice on this forum, elsewhere) to format my HD and reinstall WindowsXP PRO altogether.Problem is, this error pops up in the middle of the format. This was prompted by the fact, that although the devices and drivers that show up in this error were almost always different, files used by my sound card came up more often than others. Sometimes the message is very vague.I removed all my system devices, cleaned the registry and tried reinstalling. I am currently using winXP.Sometimes the error message points to a specific driver or file that caused the error. I had no further issues until recently.Suddenly, it seems I am recieving this error quite often. The error pops up on what is reminiscent of a BSOD in win98. So I pushed it in a tad more. The pc started up just fine. Upon my first boot with this new cpu, I recieved several errors as stated in the title of this post.I opened my case to make sure everything was seated properly and it turned out one on my sticks of RAM was not ALL the way in.only about 99.9999%. I seek advice.Recently I purchased an OEM cpu (bad idea it seems).
